Making and selling our hats has become purely a labor of love. We have watched in wonder as people, children and adults, have tried on our hats. The sight of them looking out from under the brim of a hat into our pink mirror is one of our favorite things. The little one's eyes just dance as they see their reflection peering back at them.

A big part of our business has always been to give back and to promote awareness for others. A friend asked if we could send a hat to a special little 2 year old girl who was facing a huge medical journey. She would soon lose her hair as a result of surgeries that could save her life. This little girl was fighting for her life. She was still a sweet little girl who needed protection from the sun and maybe even more than that she needed to be seen as the beautiful child she was and not the disease that was trying to steal her life.

Of course we made sure that she got a beautiful bucket hat made just for her. More than that we made a commitment to go farther, to reach higher. For every bucket hat that we sell, we have pledged a hat to a child in need due to medical reasons. We hope that our little gesture, along with our prayers, will allow these special kids to be seen as kids and not as a diagnosis.
